Artist Statement

I am interested in exploring and owning my sense of uncertainty. My mixed media works on paper are multilayered abstractions that express my curiosity about (and faith in) the unexpected. I look for opportunities to synthesize complex systems and found imagery into intuitive narratives that are shaped by my memories and personal experiences. Using acrylic paint, transfers, charcoal and more, I want to express my feeling for ‘the unsettled’ – an inner space of tension and transition, contrast and connection, where a shift in perception might suggest new insight.
