Make a Mural at the OFTC Block Party! Saturday, Aug. 22
McLean Project for the Arts is thrilled to join the Old Firehouse Teen Center for their 25th Anniversary Block Party, Saturday, August 22nd, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. The free event, held at the Old Firehouse Teen Center on 1440 Chain Bridge Road in McLean, Virginia, offers fun activities for the whole family, including live entertainment, amusements, and food concessions by McLean High School Boosters.
“Find Your Place in McLean” Mural Activity
McLean Project for the Arts staff will present an arts activity that participants of all ages will enjoy — “Find Your Place in McLean.” Attendees will be invited to pick up a paintbrush or stencil and create an image of their favorite place in McLean on a huge canvas mural. This crowd-sourced art “map” will be displayed at the Block Party and also at MPA Art Fest on Sunday, October 4. Come make your mark on the mural and show off your favorite place in McLean!
