Artist Statement

Magnetism can seem magical in its invisible yet obvious effect. These works capture some of that magic by highlighting the gap that exists when you bring two magnets, or a magnet and a metallic object close enough to pull on each other without being allowed to touch. There?s tremendous tension in that gap, in that profound yearning for the two to touch as they?re held in permanent suspension.
