A perennial favorite at MPAartfest is the Children’s Art Walk, an open-air gallery of student art proudly sponsored by the New Dominion Women’s Club of McLean (NDWC) for more than a decade. NDWC collects student artwork selected by teachers at local public, private and parochial schools. The 2019 Children’s Art Walk featured the work of more than 150 students.
Virtual Children’s Art Walk
To carry on the spirit of this much-loved community gallery, NDWC is partnering with MPA to create a Virtual Children’s Art Walk. The virtual show will be juried and open to students in the Langley and McLean pyramids, as well as students at private and parochial schools. This year’s Virtual Children’s Art Walk will also include art created by children who participated in this summer’s MPA Summer Art Camps.
MPA’s ArtReach program will provide hands-on, printed visual art activities to local students to facilitate the creation and submission of their art pieces. NDWC will then have a two-week online submission process (dates TBD).
