MPA celebrated our inaugural ArtSprings! Virtual Benefit on Thursday, April 29, 2021. a celebration of MPA and the Gift of McLean Artist Emilie Benes Brzezinski’s Work.
The family of Sculptor and longtime McLean resident Emilie Benes Brzezinski joined us as MPA officially accepted the mantle to establish the next chapter of their mother’s artistic legacy.
Held in lieu of our traditional Spring Benefit, ArtSprings! featured special guest Hynek Kmoníček, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic to the United States.
Nationally recognized media personality and lifestyle correspondent Amy Goodman emceed the event, which featured an array of musical performers, including Voices of Classic Soul with Joe Coleman, Joe Blunt, and Theo Peoples. The Dave Kline Band, with special guest Senator Tim Kaine; and members of the prestigious Strathmore Music Center’s Artist in Residence program. Throughout the event, there was original music from the Creative Cauldron’s Passport to the World Festival artists.
Additionally, artists Barbara Januszkiewicz and Antoinette Wysocki shared their backgrounds and connections to MPA, and explain how that connection influenced their successful careers.
