Four Months: Paintings by
Deena Feigelson Margolis

Atrium Gallery:

Based on the format of the desk calendar, these
12 x 12 inch encaustic paintings are produced one each day and so document the passage of time.

Each painting refers to the activities of that particular day on a literal and/or intuitive level. Layering is important from both a formal standpoint and metaphorically, alluding to the realities of multitasking and of processing numerous thoughts simultaneously.

Donald Depuydt: Recent Prints

Ramp Gallery:

Donald Depuydt’s prints evolve over time and through the processes used to create them. Working primarily with lithography and etching, Dupuydt’s work balances spontaneity with structure and control. Hours of scraping and multiple passes through the acid bath and printing press yield images that deftly combine allusions to the figure with deep layers of transparent color and evocative mark-making.
