MPA GIVING PROGRAM MPA holds two major fundraising events each year, the Spring Benefit and the Museum Shops Holiday Collection. In addition, MPA conducts an end of year giving campaign via mail. Donors may support MPA as Benefactors, Patrons, and Sponsors of each event individually and receive separate benefits for each event. Patrons and Benefactors of the Museum Shops Holiday Collection are invited to a special reception in January. At the end of the calendar year, donor contributions are aggregated for the year and included in the Spring/Summer newsletter and on the Donor Wall in the gallery. Donors are placed in the following membership categories, which delineate the benefits at each level. MEMBERS (annual contribution of $25 - $99) • Invitations to opening receptions for exhibitions • Newsletter subscription FRIENDS (annual contribution of $100 - $299) Friends receive the benefits of a Member plus: • Recognition in Spring/Summer newsletter SPONSORS (annual contribution of $300 - $599) Sponsors receive the benefits of a Friend plus: • Complimentary invitation for 2 guests to Annual Spring Benefit • Recognition in Spring Benefit invitation and on donor boards at event • Recognition on donor wall in gallery PATRONS (annual contribution of $600 - $999) Patrons receive the benefits of a Sponsor plus: • Additional complimentary invitation for 2 guests to Annual Spring Benefit (total 4 tickets) OR 2 complimentary tickets to Museum Shops Patrons Reception BENEFACTORS (annual contribution of $1,000 - $2,499) Benefactors receive the benefits of a Patron plus: • Additional complimentary invitation for 2 guests to Annual Spring Benefit (total 4 tickets) AND • Complimentary invitation for 2 to Museum Shops Patrons Reception • Special recognition on donor wall in gallery and in Museum Shops Program • Complimentary invitations to tour private art collections in the Washington, D.C. area MAJOR BENEFACTORS (annual contribution of $2,500 - $4,999) Major Benefactors receive the benefits of a Benefactor plus: • Additional complimentary invitation for 2 guests to Annual Spring Benefit (total 6 tickets) • Additional complimentary invitation for 2 guests to Museum Shops Patrons Reception (total 4) • Distinguished recognition on donor wall in gallery • Opportunity to use gallery space after hours for entertaining or business meetings LEADERSHIP CIRCLE (annual contribution of $5,000 and above) Members of the Leadership Circle receive the benefits of a Major Benefactor plus: • Additional complimentary invitation for 2 guests to Annual Spring Benefit (total 8 tickets) • Invitations to other special events • Discount on purchase of artwork exhibited in gallery Note: If you accept complimentary tickets to the Spring Benefit, your tax deduction is reduced by $40 per ticket.
